About Me
Hi, I’m Chrissy.
During my 30 years as a practising Pharmacist working in Community Pharmacies, I often saw patients struggling with chronic conditions that could be better managed through lifestyle changes.
I dispensed medications daily, but I often saw the same patients returning, needing higher doses or additional prescriptions to manage worsening health conditions.
I became passionate about the idea that prevention and lifestyle factors were just as important as treating the conditions
I wanted to empower people to take control of their health, not just manage symptoms when they occurred. And truly transform their well-being for the long term. So I studied for a diploma in professional nutrition and health coaching
Why Brain Health Matters To Me
Being a health coach isn’t just a profession for me; it’s personal. I’ve walked this path myself, and I know what real change takes
A few years ago, a routine blood test showed that I had high cholesterol, prediabetes and and poor kidney function
These results were a shock. I remember thinking, “If this is where I am now… what happens if I don’t do something?”
Before turning to medication, I made a decision to try to change my lifestyle first. I focused on what I was eating, I moved more, and looked at the stress levels and sleep habits I’d been ignoring.
I didn’t expect the biggest change to come from my brain.
For years, I’d been dealing with foggy thinking, low energy, forgetfulness, and that feeling that my brain just wasn’t firing properly. I put it down to age or hormones, but deep down, I knew something wasn’t right
As I made these lifestyle shifts, something unexpected happened… the fog started to clear. I could think more clearly. I had more focus and an increased attention span. My energy came back, and for the first time in years, I felt like me again.
My blood tests improved, and I was able to reverse all 3 conditions. To say I was happy was an understatement! But what also changed my life was realising how much our lifestyle can impact memory, clarity, and long-term brain health as well. It was a true lightbulb moment for me
After completing my Nutrition and Health Coaching Diploma, I became fascinated by how lifestyle choices affect memory and cognition, so I went on to specialise in Memory and Brain Health, earning advanced certification to deepen my understanding of how lifestyle supports long-term cognitive function.
The more I learned, the more I realised how much control we actually have and how many women are struggling silently with the same symptoms I once had, blaming it on age or hormones
